FAQs:

Q:How do I save a report to my desktop?
A: When the report is first displayed on the screen, it appears with formatted text and graphics. A button in the upper upper-left corner of the display allows the report to be exported in several different formats.

Q:Can I run this report for multiple plans?
A: If you have access to PartnerLink, you can click on the "Data Mining" tab and run this report. The system will automatically choose a divisional category (if applicable) for each plan because different plans may use different reporting division categories (e.g. Department vs. Agency). The Pay Center values (Excel-only) will always have a divisional category of "P".

Q:Why is some data available only when exporting to Excel?
A: There is not enough space on a printed page for all of the information. All of the information must be on the same line to export to Excel, so some columns were suppressed.

Q:When I export the data to Excel, the columns look unreadable. How do I fix this?
A: Highlight the columns (Ctrl-A), then choose "Format" - "Columns" - "Autofit Selection" from the Excel menu bar. This will resize the columns.

Q:How can I manipulate data in the Excel Report?
A: You can highlight the data in the report (Ctrl-A), then choose "Data" - "Sort" from the Excel menu bar. Choose up to three columns (in either Ascending or Descending order) to sort on. You can then eliminate rows or columns, subtotal in different ways, and use other Excel functions for graphing, etc.

Q:Can I get the report in formats other than Excel, PDF, or RTF?
A: Once the report is exported to MS Excel (Data Only) or RTF (to be opened in Microsoft Word), it may be saved in formats available to those programs by clicking on "File" - "Save As". Excel can save in CSV, HTML, XML, or text file formats, while Microsoft Word can save in HTML, XML, or text file formats. (NOTE: Please validate the end result in doing so to ensure the "Save As" resulted in the file that you expected.) Both Excel and Microsoft Word can also be imported into Microsoft PowerPoint.
